Why can only VIPs and VVIPs enter in the “Garbhgrih” (Sanctuary) of “Mahakaleshwar” Temple and why can only they worship Lord “Mahakal” personally?

I went to Ujjain with one of my friend on the fifteenth of last month because he wanted to do “Mangal Pooja” in “Mangal nath” temple. We decided to go “Mahakaleshwer” Temple after his “Mangal Pooja” completed as “Mahakaleshwar” is also situated in Ujjain or I should say that “Mahakaleshwar” is the recognition of Ujjain. I was excited to go there because my family members are also devotees of Lord Shiva and they also want to visit all the twelve “Jyotirlingas” situated in different parts of India. “Mahakaleshwar” is also one of the twelve “Jyotirlingas”. We reached there and then we bought Prasad and flowers from there for worship and then we moved towards the entry gate of “Mahakaleshwar” Temple.

There was a long queue and I was standing in the queue. I thought that I would be able to go inside the sanctuary where “jyotirlinga” was situated after queue cleared however slowly and gradually queue was moving and I was also moving inside the temple. There were a lot of pictures and idols of God. I moved forward and kept on watching the live telecast of “jyotirlinga” showed in LEDs placed in premises of Temple. I was also thinking that I will worship in the same way those people were doing. After about forty five minutes I reached in front of “Jyotirlinga” sanctuary but then I got to know that we have to go out of temple from there only because only those people can enter in the “Garbhgrih” who are VIPs and VVIPs and they will have to pay about 1500 or something for VIP entry.
Now the question is whether rich people are the only people who can worship. Have lord “Mahakaleshwar” ever said that only rich can enter into the place where “Jyotirlinga” is situated? Is this not business on the name of God? It is really shameful that someone’s devotion is being compared by the money they have in their pockets. After looking all this I thought of not visiting any temple or any religious place and it’s better to worship at the temple situated in your home because these temple will measure your devotion by the money you have and I don’t want that because everyone is equal for God whether he/she is rich or poor.  Also I feel that these are the people who have made religion a business and due to them few people don’t like to talk and discus about religion. These people and temples are the one who embarrass Hinduism. Due to these people only Rich visit a temple with respect and rest are being treated as abandoned which is against religion and we should raise our voice against this culture in order to save the glory of our religion.
